Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has specified a value for the approaching Surface tablets; however a spokesperson declaration is still waiting. In a meeting with The Seattle Times, Ballmer stated that the Microsoft Surface RT and Surface Pro would price between $300 and $800 at the time of introduction. In response several fans posted on the Facebook Fan Page that they are anxious to get a hands on this wonderful tablet.

This value range, still standard for tablets, has destroyed the expectations of those who anticipated Microsoft to level the tablets at the cost points of Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire.

Ballmer informed The Seattle Times, “If you look at the volume of the PC market, it would run between, say, maybe $300 to about $700 or $800,” he notified the newspaper. “That’s the sweet mark.”

With this costing plan, Microsoft is obvious pitting the Surface RT in opposition to the Apple iPad at about $450-500, whereas the top valued Surface Pro will capture on ultrabooks. This has been another sweet spot for Surface. Zdnet reported something similar.

If Microsoft captures on ultrabooks with its Surface tablet, it will further thin the line among laptops and tablets. The appearance of tablets as private computing gadgets has started the collapse of pc and laptops. This has influenced the lucks of hardware makers, a few of which are Microsoft’s associates.

However, Microsoft remains restless as the CEO stated that in the future it will turn out to be more of a gadget-and-services company, however its input region will still be software.
